MAGMA in Asia

MAGMA’s operation in Asia started with the foundation of MAGMA Engineering Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in the year 1996. The prime objective in the early years was to build up a strong team with technical expertise in casting process optimization, followed by identifying qualified local partners that can represent MAGMA and our products in the diverse Asian markets.

Singapore, providing its business friendly environment, was the ideal choice to act as the communication hub, transferring casting optimization knowledge and offering various services to our customers to implement MAGMASOFT successfully in Asia. With the increased demands and success of MAGMA in Asia, and to offer local services in strategic locations, MAGMA has since opened a joint venture in Korea, a wholly owned subsidiary in China and a branch office in India which has been converted to a wholly owned subsidiary of MAGMA Giessereitechnologie GmbH in July 2019. MAGMA Engineering Asia Pacific now acts as the headquarter of MAGMA in Asia and is located at the German Centre (www.germancentre.sg) in the International Business Park, Jurong Area in Singapore.

Today, MAGMA Asia consists of a team of more than 60 employees with many foundry men among them and continues to grow at the forefront of the ever evolving metal casting market in Asia. Backed up by a strong development team and expertise from Germany, MAGMA Asia delivers not only our products MAGMASOFT® and SIGMASOFT® but well established localized training courses, customer support, project engineering services, and continues to strive to offer the best and most comprehensive services and casting process knowledge as a solution provider to support our customers for casting design and optimization.
